All rugs have been thoroughly cleaned; age-related wear and patina are considered normal in these unique, hand-knotted rugs.

All pieces have been photographed with moderate to bright natural light. In some cases, photos are edited to depict the most true-to-life colors. Colors may vary depending on your phone or screen settings. If the area you are placing the rug has less natural light, the rug will appear darker in person.

Some items may not be perfectly straight or rectangle. We consider these characteristics part of what makes them truly one-of-a-kind and handmade. 

Each rug listed on our site is either a wool pile on a cotton foundation or a wool pile on a wool foundation. Quality, unrefined wool contains a substance called lanolin. Lanolin tends to have a natural smell, which many compare to the smell of sheep – or almost metallic-y, but sweet and grassy.
