What is a pressed serum?
In short, a pressed serum is anhydrous moisturizing concentrate that melts to fluid upon contact with skin. Although it visually looks like a balm, pressed serum differs from a balm in the composition of the ingredients and the manufacturing process. Typically a balm is a combination of cocoa, avocado, or shea butters with almond or jojoba oils and more commonly used waxes. Pressed serum on the other hand has a combination of powerhouse actives, rare and unique extracts, exotic butters, floral waxes, and is often much lighter in texture and fast-absorbing.
