December's birthstone is the colourful green and blue zircon crystal. This simulated zircon crystal is framed in a 24kt gold plated rub over bezel setting and measures 4mm in diameter.

Gold Plated Steel

Jewellery is called gold plated when a layer of gold has been deposited onto the surface of another metal. Surgical steel is a stainless steel with the 316L designation. Just like any other steel, this steel contains nickel.
